Het Vervolg / COALFACE and transit_LAB put their shoulders to the wheel in 2017 with the creation of a master plan for the historically important Marcasse coal mine in the Borinage. The Borinage is the cradle of industrial mining and the workers struggle in Europe. The Marcasse coal mine is internationally important because painter Vincent Van Gogh described his visit to the subsurface of 1879 in his diaries.
